Every woman is entitled to human rights. These include the right to enjoy the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health, to be educated and earn equal wages. But there are many women across the globe who face discrimination based on gender. Gender inequality underpins many problems that disproportionately affect every woman and girl, such as domestic and sexual violence, lower pay, lack of access to education, and inadequate healthcare.

It’s always women who find far more challenging than men in maintaining balance in personal and professional life. Men, too, face challenges. But here we’re simply trying to emphasize how women are always torn between their responsibilities at home as well as at their professional workplace. They are compelled to take leaves to take care of their domestic responsibilities, which result in creating an image of unprofessionalism. Women empowerment is one of the most important things that needs to be addressed in the world. The rights and freedoms that women have fought for through the decades should not go in vain. As a responsible individual, we need to be more progressive because there’s a lack of women empowerment in many countries. Women should be given the same and equal opportunities that their male counterparts receive. Wages should be equal for men and women for the same work that they do.
